The U.S. government shutdown has caused the delay of the new FAA drone rules. The FAA had proposed some very favorable changes for drone operators and had planned to meet with industry leaders and advocacy groups before finalizing the regulations. The meeting was scheduled for mid-February but is now indefinitely delayed.
