Have RC but fly without?

How many Spark owners that have the RC fly with out and why?

I had the RC when I went up into the mountains the other day (quick few hour hike up some peaks and over) but it would take an extra minute to set up the remote and such and all I wanted were some shots of myself and hiking buddy at the time, so I only used my phone and active track.
