Increase battery life

15 minutes is enough for me to use it on the backyard. Sure, more minutes would be great but this is why I own three drones.

This is why I have 6 Spark batteries... as I fly, I rotate empty batteries through the charger, so i often enjoy around 60-80 minutes of cumulative flight time in a single session.

Because when they made this drone, they used the best weight/power battery available at that time. The more capacity in the battery, the more it weighs, which shortens the flight time. It is a vicious circle. If you want more flight time, get a larger drone like a Mavic.

I think tinkering with the Intelligent Battery on the Spark is probably not a great idea anyway. There is 'battery management' circuitry (and some software) designed for the stock battery to get the most out of it. If you start strapping on bigger value batteries, that stuff will no longer be accurate, and you would - at the very least - be forced to do your own time tracking for flight time. Which would be nigh impossible to do without load data on the battery in real time when fighting wind or not, running in sport mode or not, and so on.

I suspect the only safe way to improve flight times is to transplant the hardware onto a naked carbon-fiber frame to get it as light as possible. Naturally any warranty goes out the window, so 'your mileage may vary'.
