So my controller just arrived today. I got it hooked up and linked to the drone, and was able to takeoff. My phone was connected with an OTG cable.
I fly around for a bit, but literally right beside a cell/tv tower I have awful range so its a short flight. I bring it down and hover about 5 feet off the ground. I wanted to check out some settings before landing.
I haven't done ANYTHING to the settings, when the drone just disconnects. As in, my phone is "linked to RC", but the LED on the RC is Red (no drone connection).
Well. The drone is hovering 3 feet in front of it!
Luckily it was right in front of me since the only way to "land" was to grab it and tilt 90 degreees.
I powered off both drone and rc, turned them back on, and it was fine for another flight.
I'm going on vacation in a few days and would like this to NEVER happen again. Has anyone had similar issues? Is there a surefire fix to it? Also, the reason I'm using OTG is because this forum said it gives a better connection.
