Linking to Samsung Galaxy S8+

I have bought my first drone- a Spark. I have tried to follow the instructions (and video tutorials) but have failed in being able to get my phone to connect to either the Spark or RC device. I can see and link manually to the wifi connection - but when using DJI Pro 4 continue to get "failed to connect to device" message. Could I have a setting wrong on my phone?

Are you logged on to DJI GO4? Try using an OTG cable thatdirectly connects fon to RC.

May I ask what is an OTG cable?

NVM OTG for now...It will just confuse your troubleshooting....check your phone to make sure it is set to connect to a WIFI that does not have an internet connection...The phone maybe reverting to an existing/previous connection instead? Did you try with the phone in "airplane mode" and just re-enable WIFI ONLY?

Is the remote connecting to the Spark? That is different from the remote connecting to the phone.

Connecting fon to RC with a cable will eliminate problems due to wifi settings. Get one if you dont have one already. A must have accessory for me.
