New firmware

Hi. Is it me or did something dissapear from dji go 4 app v 4.24?
I can only see 2.4 channels and can’t switch to 5.8 no more?
What the h... is going on? Haven’t even been flying my new Spark yet.
How do i keep my Iphone from updating the dji go4 app automaticly
and stay with old versions?

Zero problems here too

You would turn off auto app updates in the settings.
But that will kill all apps from auto updating - just FYI.
Make sure to update the firmware of the transmitter too.

you should be at version 0.1000 for the Spark and 0.0600 for the transmitter

So what about wifi only as 2.4 and not 5.8? Max distance is no longer showing the metric settings option too. How far can you get your Sparks

Not far at all - Maybe 400ft?
Try rebooting the Spark, transmitter and phone.
Try it a couple of times.
Sometimes after updating, I need to reboot to get the "country has changed" message to get back into FCC mode.
Also, try deleting and reinstalling the app

Are you on the latest DJI Go 4 app?
I am and think that’s the problem.

Go into custom channels and change to a 3 digit number for the 5.8 range in FCC.

But how do i avoid the change from fcc to ec when there is no cancel
option anymore on the new 4.2.22 dji go 4 app?

DJI may have closed that loophole in there DJI GO4 updated where it sets the parametrs based on current location automatically. FCC to CE fix was based on tricked GPS location so you may have to do this everytime now.

Not sure what you mean? Do i have to install the fake gps
with every start of the drone?

If you dont have the option of cancelling out when it ask you to move from FCC to CE when you are in a true CE location then the answer is yes. You may want to search the thread on this subject to see if anyone found out a way. Some users may have stayed with older version of the DJI GO 4 app just for this purpose.

Yes, that's my problem. Didn't turned off auto update on my Iphone so hence the latest dji go 4 app Thank's for you help.

Always perform a backup of the current app if you have Android so you can restore if they fix something which is valuable to us users.
If this is fixed this loophole the Spark is useless in CE mode. Much more prone to connection issues.

I have IOS. So backup is a little harder
