Can you edit settings in App while not connected to Spark

I haven't had a chance to setup my spark as i'm waiting for my Remote to do so tomorrow but I was hoping to go through some of the settings in the app prior to setting the rest up. Is it not possible to change settings until the app is connected to the Spark? I'm noticing whatever I change reverts back or won't change at all currently.

Thanks for any help. I just figured updating settings from the app while watching youtube was easier than having to connect to the Spark and then updating.

You need to be connected for most of the settings to save properly.

Though it would be nice to 'preload' all your settings before you power up the Spark to optimize flight time,
the bird needs to be on so the app can communicate with it. The advantage is those settings stay saved,
so fewer adjustments need to be made for each flight. RTH ALT and Camera settings are the usual (only) changes.
