DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 | DJI GO 4 MOD LITE [ Additional Features | Android | App Ver. 4.1.15 ]

I'm not responsible for any damage caused to your Android device or DJI equipment. You are accepting the risk of running modified software. Any software downloaded and installed outside of the Play Store may contain viruses or malware. I have taken as many precautions before offering this modded software, but there's always a chance of failure when not directly downloading from the Play Store.

This MOD may contain tweaks that are illegal in your country. Due to EIRP laws that change depending on where you live, you might be running the risk of altering your devices WLAN transmission power to the FCC limits. Please check in with the EIRP WLAN laws related to the country you will be flying in.

There are two versions of this mod, each with specific feature sets:

DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0

  • CAN be installed next to the official DJI GO 4 from the Play Store OR DJI GO 4 MOD LITE
  • Scramble Android ID, Android Serial # and IMEI (Just in case DJI catches on)
  • Google Maps (Save offline maps in the official Google Maps app for Offline Maps support [BETA])
  • Force screen on while app is open
  • Auto set brightness to 100% when app is opened
  • Auto enable Wi-Fi when app is opened
  • Auto enable screen rotation
  • Red DJI GO 4 Icon for easier recognition of the modded app
  • Red Status and Nav Bars
  • Disabled App Transitions for faster app performance
  • Auto enable Do Not Disturb mode

DJI GO 4 MOD LITE

  • Can be installed next to DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 but NOT the official DJI GO 4 app from the Play Store due to having the same package name
  • Offline Maps
  • Here Maps
Both Apps Feature:

  • Forced the TX power to FCC limits
  • Enabled Intelligent Flight Modes from the Mavic Pro for the Spark
  • No forced updates - firmware or app
  • Enabled the option whether to cache video locally or not. May reduced crashes and CPU-load if switched off
  • Fake login - You can either login with your real account (online) or use the fake accout. To use the fake account you have to go offline (airplane mode) and put any non-numeric characters in the login box
  • Make DB Public for non-rooted devices @ /mnt/sdcard/DJI/dji_mod_{version_string}.db for offline flight planning
  • Enabled Spark Wi-Fi Channel Select on OTG
  • Remove check for rooted devices
  • OTG Support
  • Sphere Pano Support
  • DJI GO 4 Ver. 4.1.15
Why two versions? Due to the additional features that are added during app cloning and changing the package name, the Here Maps API Key becomes invalid. This is why you cannot install the DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 LITE side by side with the official DJI GO 4 app, because it keeps the same internal name, but allows access to Offline Maps.

Mods; If this thread is against the forum rules by posting links to modded software, please let me know so I can remove the links. There seems to be a legal grey area around posting modified software, but I see it no different as to remixing a popular song and releasing it for free. As long as everyone here understands that they're downloading a modified version of the official DJI GO 4 app, I believe it's perfectly acceptable. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Seems to work on my old Samsung Note 3. I'm cautiously testing it out, step by step. Here's what I found so far:
- Can't see a map in the full version
- Can't see the radio channels or confirmation that I'm in FCC mode (11 channels)
- Can't find the supposed Mavic intelligent flight modes (so far) The menu only features the stock versions of Dronie, Helix, Rocket, etc. If they exist, where are they hidden?
- RTH seems to work well. Took it about 1000 meters out and it returned with no problem.

I'll report further as I explore. It's freezing here no (-4 C.), so it's not too exciting testing drone software.

But a big thanks for working on this mod, as my usual workaround the EU rules with Fake GPS stopped working for some reason. I had to re-set it up every time I started the drone anew as the "Switch LAN - OK/Cancel" dialogue would not pop up anymore and the Spark booted back into EU rules.

All the best,

Dave

Hey guys. I have already downloaded that app and tested but my range in Spark (2.4 GHz) is only ~600m. I saw some vids on YT that people can fly about 3 km. What I'm doing wrong ?

Noob question, will be trying this with a Note 4 and a new Spark that has never been activated or flown. Do I need the Play Store DJI Go 4 app at all (to activate the drone, or whatever) or can I just 100% use the MOD version?

ETA: Answering my own question, I had to use the official app to activate, then I was able to uninstall and use a custom app.

Just switched from a Lenovo P2/7.0 to a Nokia 8/9.0 and I can't connect to the RC or Spark via WiFi using the DJI Mod 2.0 app (Stock DJI GO 4.0 works ok). The only way to connect is via OTG with the RC.

Is that a known problem with Android Pie/9.0 or something specific to the Nokia 8 ? Thanks for any help !

Good evening to all.
Now I may get shot down in flames here, but here goes. I have downloaded this mod app (NOT the lite version), and i'm certain that whoever actually achieved this is very clever, far more than me, so I don't intend on insulting anyone's intelligence with this question.
I have tried this app when using my P4, original P4, not advance or pro. The issue I am having is that it will not fly above 98ft, I get a warning saying maximum height reached. The height settings are set at 120m (360 ft). I have changed this height limit to 500m, but I still cannot fly above 98ft and I keep getting the warning of maximum height reached.
Is the mod app not compatible with the P4 or is there a way of changing the height settings? As I have said, when I go into the settings, no matter what maximum height I dial in, it never goes above 98ft. Pity as there are trees near where I regularly fly that are near 100ft.
Thanks in advance to anyone with a fix or suggestion.
Sounds like you are using a the phone to controll the drone also? I dont think you can overcome this feature as the phone WIFI sucks and it's a safety thing of DJI's and a work around, I have not seen discussed before.
If you are using a controller, then I have no Idea. I am sorry.

I have a DJI Spark, when using RC mode, the smartphone connects to the RC network.
The standard DJI Go 4 can control the Spark as expected, but DJI Go 4 Mod 2.0 can't - when I click "Enter Device" it goes to the WiFi network menu of my Android, even though I'm already connected to the Spark RC's network, and I can't move forward. "Enter Device" never becomes "Go Fly" as in the standard DJI Go 4.
What am I doing wrong?
The remote connects to the spark with wifi. Then your phone connects to the remote with wifi or OTG cable. But you still have to go into your wifi settings of your phone and join the remote's wifi..
You prolly knew this? If so, sorry I am no help.

Without case yes, but i have a case so i use a tablet holder, i use a ipad mini4 too with case so i use the same holder...
