DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 | DJI GO 4 MOD LITE [ Additional Features | Android | App Ver. 4.1.15 ]

Hold your horses, mate!
You're good then... aka FCC mode.
Enjoy your flights
I really think its not? it has more than 11 channels and range is still quite bad, only 300 meters, shouldnt i be getting more like 2000 meters. Im flying countryside.

Okay, your doing FCC mode and using a channel in the upper 5.8 Ghz band.
And connected to device via wifi, right?

We prefer to choose a channel in the lower (1-11) 2.4 Ghz and OTG (on-the-go) cable between device and remote.
Channel is choosen manually and drone need to be powered off/on again to activate new choosen channel.
Cable is prefered over wifi to reduce risk of interference and less video latency in-app.
There is a ton of descriptions in this thread on how to do this..

yes and yes. I have my otg cable coming in the mail. I tried to choose lower channel, the one with the highest bar, is this right one to choose? but it did not work and my drone didnt connect anymore so i had to reset it.

Lowest bar!

I had to use a different patched version of djogo to make everything run in 2.4Ghz mode, the mod version would always switch back to 5Ghz if I tried to use the mod version to switch, once I got it switched over, I can now fly in 2.4Ghz mode with mod. I think it was the 4.1.3 that's quiet widely available.

There's also a specific way of doing it, you need to boot the quad, boot the remote, connect to the remote by wifi, change the wifi settings, click apply, click restart wifi, wait for everything to reboot (the image on your phone will go grey when everyone disconnects and reboots then the image will come back), then connect the OTG cable (don't connect it before at all, you may find the screen goes grey again briefly while the remote switches to OTG mode) You should then find everything is running in 2.4Ghz mode and next time should just startup as normal (start quad, start remote, connect OTG cable on green light).

I'm not responsible for any damage caused to your Android device or DJI equipment. You are accepting the risk of running modified software. Any software downloaded and installed outside of the Play Store may contain viruses or malware. I have taken as many precautions before offering this modded software, but there's always a chance of failure when not directly downloading from the Play Store.

This MOD may contain tweaks that are illegal in your country. Due to EIRP laws that change depending on where you live, you might be running the risk of altering your devices WLAN transmission power to the FCC limits. Please check in with the EIRP WLAN laws related to the country you will be flying in.

There are two versions of this mod, each with specific feature sets:

DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0
  • CAN be installed next to the official DJI GO 4 from the Play Store OR DJI GO 4 MOD LITE
  • Scramble Android ID, Android Serial # and IMEI (Just in case DJI catches on)
  • Google Maps (Save offline maps in the official Google Maps app for Offline Maps support [BETA])
  • Force screen on while app is open
  • Auto set brightness to 100% when app is opened
  • Auto enable Wi-Fi when app is opened
  • Auto enable screen rotation
  • Red DJI GO 4 Icon for easier recognition of the modded app
  • Red Status and Nav Bars
  • Disabled App Transitions for faster app performance
  • Auto enable Do Not Disturb mode

DJI GO 4 MOD LITE
  • Can be installed next to DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 but NOT the official DJI GO 4 app from the Play Store due to having the same package name
  • Offline Maps
  • Here Maps
Both Apps Feature:
  • Forced the TX power to FCC limits
  • Enabled Intelligent Flight Modes from the Mavic Pro for the Spark
  • No forced updates - firmware or app
  • Enabled the option whether to cache video locally or not. May reduced crashes and CPU-load if switched off
  • Fake login - You can either login with your real account (online) or use the fake accout. To use the fake account you have to go offline (airplane mode) and put any non-numeric characters in the login box
  • Make DB Public for non-rooted devices @ /mnt/sdcard/DJI/dji_mod_{version_string}.db for offline flight planning
  • Enabled Spark Wi-Fi Channel Select on OTG
  • Remove check for rooted devices
  • OTG Support
  • Sphere Pano Support
  • DJI GO 4 Ver. 4.1.15
Why two versions? Due to the additional features that are added during app cloning and changing the package name, the Here Maps API Key becomes invalid. This is why you cannot install the DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 LITE side by side with the official DJI GO 4 app, because it keeps the same internal name, but allows access to Offline Maps.

He has a donation link for paypal and cryptocoins. If you guys are liking the modified app and all of the work that went into it maybe throw him a bone. This doesn't look like easy work and a lot of care has gone into this mod. If you want to donate to Bin4ry / deejayeye you can do so here:

Mods; If this thread is against the forum rules by posting links to modded software, please let me know so I can remove the links. There seems to be a legal grey area around posting modified software, but I see it no different as to remixing a popular song and releasing it for free. As long as everyone here understands that they're downloading a modified version of the official DJI GO 4 app, I believe it's perfectly acceptable. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also works very well on Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Except for the Follow Me mode, but so have several others already declared.

bonjour à tous,

nouvel utilisateur de spark, j'ai étudié la notice en francais et une petite question me turlupine ;-)

il est noté pour un RTH :
"upload_2018-6-22_17-4-3.pngupload_2018-6-22_17-4-28.pngupload_2018-6-22_17-4-42.pngupload_2018-6-22_17-4-51.pngupload_2018-6-22_17-4-59.pngupload_2018-6-22_17-5-8.png
upload_2018-6-22_17-5-22.png upload_2018-6-22_17-5-36.png"

qu'est ce qui est sous-entendu par "il atterrit automatiquement" ? il revient exactement au point RTH enregistré et se pose sans que l'utilisateur est besoin de le forcer ?

Hello, i Install the Mod App but the Mod Go4 didnt show the Google Maps location, why???

Yeah, i get back on you when i have reinstalled and tested. I dont see that, mine shows channels from 1 to 11 and then the 149 etc. And is currently on 149.

Edit: do i have to reset the drone and controller before connecting to the reinstalled app?
You are fine you are in fcc mode don't uninstall....

5.8 ore 2.4 is fcc? My English is not the best what is also imposant to change in the mode app? I am from Germany. Thx

I'm on the same setup but with Xiaomi Mi MIX. Yesterday reached 950m distance at low 40m height until first video link issues (quality, not disconnection). More than enough, so I turned back. As comparison, original app allowed to fly...150m and disconnected...
I flew 400m with original app and otg without problems in ec mode.

Set your phone in Flight mode (no WiFi).

Turn on your Spark and RC, and wait for the green light on RC.

Then run DJI GO 4 app, and connect your OTG cable. You should be "connected" and have video feed through the cable (WiFi is turned off).

Follow your instruction not working, with wifi on it works well.

I think I can't go in fcc mode here no 11 channels available View attachment 5482View attachment 5483

You are in FCC mode, if you were in EC mode you would have 1-13 on the 2.4ghz channel band not 1-11 (the 149+ channels are 5ghz frequencies).

Your system is just working in 5Ghz FCC mode (that is why 149 is in blue), if you want to change to 2.4Ghz follow my instructions in my previous post.

OK? Cool, but why Google Maps don't working? I try Offline Mode but didn't working too.
