DJI go app 4.1.18 on Android killed the OTG cable support!?!

I'm not convinced. This has been on their website for months. Other mobile devices is very non-committal. Could mean Crystal sky, goggles, or future DJI dedicated devices.

Just wait for the next update and we'll see.

I'm doing the same here, but I use the 4.1.22 which remains in FCC after having used the MOD 2.0 (which is 4.1.15) since they have greatly improved the wifi link between phone and RC. The first time I flew the Spark without an OTG cable the video feed had many issues, but that improved a little with the 4.1.15 and a lot with the 4.1.22. Last flight I sent it to 300 m (900 ft) and the video feed was always perfect. Sometimes I get a warning from the app saying, for a couple of seconds, that the video link is too weak: I don't know why since it's showing very little delay and no distortions, then the warning disappears and it may reappear again one minute later, I'm getting used to it

I get that but the modded app also gives you some of the mavic flight modes for spark which the DJI Go 4 doesn't do and there are some other notable tweaks which makes this my go to app for spark.

I'm actually pretty disappointed with DJI. I really like the Spark alot, but I don't want to be stuck in an old version missing out on true improvements. It really feels like a bait and switch....How long before they just don't support the Spark because DJI wants you to 'upgrade?' I don't want and won't be buying any of their other crud. I want them to stand behind what I have already purchased and fix the cable problem. Is it really that hard? Seems like something a tech could fix in a couple of hours.

scusa se mi permetto di giudicarti .. ma non riesco a capire quali problemi fai se non ricevi nuovi aggiornamenti effettivamente cosa ti importa? l'importante è che il drone funzioni senza problemi o torto? Ho app 4.1.15 a cui molte persone sono passate. 22 mi lamento delle disconnessioni, ecc. Lascio questo e chi se ne importa dei nuovi aggiornamenti quando quello che ho installato va bene ... il mio pensiero ..

Just because YOU get good wifi doesn't mean we all do. I tried flying with the newest update and wifi was crap. Reverted to .15 with OTG and it is night and day difference better. If you can't offer anything helpful without being rude, then we don't need your negativity.

You're not wrong, it does work on .15, and that is what I'm doing as well, it's just disappointing that there seems to be some good updates that work with the Spark and their new drone that are not worth updating for when you live in an area that Wi-Fi limits what the drone is capable of.
