Dji spark suddenly drop when launched

My spark suddenly drop to the ground when doing palm launch by facial recognition by double tapping on the switch button. I have to quickly ascend the spark to avoid it from bouncing to the ground. Also used manual launch still the same issue

Welcome to the forum. Are you sure the propellers are mounted correctly? Check for the white ring at the center.

Also, make sure the props aren't damaged and you're using OEM DJI props.

I have read about this before on an earlier firmware release.
Are you running the current firmware?

When I flew with gesture control.the spark shut down and fell like a rock after hovering at about 10 feet in altitude.. dji support told me some to the effect that that was normal. That gave me a lot of confidence.
