downloading from SD card

Has anyone had any problems with plugging in a cable to the spark and downloading the sd files to your computer.. Didn't have any problems for the first couple of months but this month something has changed..lately only thing I could do is take sd card out of spark and plug it into my MacBook Pro. Yes turning spark on first

I find it easier to remove sd card and plug it into computer. I want to prolong the life of the micro usb. I only use it for upgrading the drone. Last time I upgraded spark, laptop recognizes spark as external drive so mine works.
