Question:

Since I received my Spark about 2 weeks ago I've been flying a lot. Love it! Now since I live in the Netherlands I have to deal with the dreaded CE rules of a maximum range of 500meters instead of FCC's 2 km.

Googling I found an interesting app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...carusphantom3s

With the app you are able to change the dBm output of the controller.
I know this is for the Phantom. But isn't the Phantom using the same kind of technology?
And do you think it would be possible with the spark to change the dBm from 18(CE) to 26dBm(FCC)?

I emailed the developer but no response yet.

Very interesting. Fingers crossed

Nope.
On the latest Platform the GPS in the craft decides if the craft is in a CE or FCC region.
So there is a kind of rough "map" determining whether a specific coordinate is FCC or CE.
With root we could get at that but not with the Coptersafe-style modding.

(Well, AFAIK of course)
