I recently purchased an iPad mini 3 to get a better view when flying my spark with the RC. Unfortunately the screen is no where near as bright or as clear to see in the daylight as my iPhone 7s. Anyone else experiencing the same or do I just have a bad mini?

Johnm, I think when I was researching the ipad mini they said that if viewing outdoors in the sun you want to go with the ipad mini 4 as there was a big change in the brightness between the 2-3 and the 4. Then again you could have a bad one. I do know on my mini 4 I can see fine out in the sun. Others who are more well versed in the ipad will hopefully chime in but that is what I seem to remember.

Yes, mini4 is night and day different

My iPad Mini 3 is very difficult to see in bright sun. Normally use it with a hood for my Inspire, but haven't figured out how to do that with Spark and RC.

I've run various Ipads and even with the brighter Ipad 4 its still not bright enough for daylight brightness unless you shade the screen. I'm not even talking about direct sunlight on the screen.

I've mounted an anti-glare film on the Ipad Mini 4. It helps some but still not great. I still find I have to view from a shaded spot. I also have a Hoodman sun shade and Mavmount. Makes the whole thing feel a little less spontaneous though...

You could always try this.. here is the new Mavic/spark mount for CrystalSky
