Video Quality and Can't Record or Take Photos while in flight

My video quality is not the best. I'm not using an SD card, I am just sending it to my phone, not sure that is the problem or not. Here's a link to the video. I am a newbie so I am sure it's something I'm doing wrong.

Also, at times the record and camera buttons don't work when I am in flight sometimes. I am using the controller. However, when I land and then take off again I can they start working, but if I stop while in flight, it won't work again. I turned off gestures thinking that might have been the issue.

You have to plug the spark into your computer to see the good quality photos and videos, the ones sent to the phone are just examples
