I agree, there is something not right here. I fly in Sport mode every time I go out to fly, I fly very aggressively and don't ease into turns or stop and have never had this occur.

Yep, if it weight more than .55 pounds...which is 250g, it must be registered. And the Spark weighs 300g.

What device do you use? Do you put it in airplane mode? I (and others as you can see above) have never had any issues. It's not the Spark, it's something else causing your issues. Also, have you tried using and OTG cable? Good luck.

While you certainly can fly with just the controller, it is not advised....you need your phone so you can see the drone telemetry for safety reasons. Without a phone, you won't know the drones height, if you are in GPS mode vs. ATTI, battery status, etc.

If flying recreationally only, you are covered under section 336 and there is no height restriction. Only under Part 107 is there a 400' height restriction. Good luck!

Welcome. I live in Annapolis. Don't assume that just because it's a State Park that it's a no fly zone. I live a couple miles from Sandy Point State Park and have flown there a couple times with no issues. Good luck!

State Farm has Drone insurance. It's a type of personal articles policy. I paid $60/year for $700 coverage no questions asked. No deductible, no questions. Can't beat that!

Sooo...after looking at your video multiple times...and pausing it at certain spots...those don't look like bats to me. They look like swallows...which from my experience are very aggressive towards my drone. Of course, you were there and would know for sure....are you sure they were bats?

Exactly! I keep hearing people say that clouds don't interfere with GPS signals, but from my personal experience that is false. A few weeks ago, I went outside on a nice, but very overcast day to fly (same spot in my back yard where I fly frequently) and I couldn't get GPS to lock and Spark...

This! I am a Spacecraft Operations Engineer with NASA and it is indeed a fact that these storms interfere with communications on all of the satellites I've worked on since 1989.

I travel a lot with my Spark. You don't need to do anything special, but they do need to be in your carry-on luggage. I travel with the Spark and 3 batteries, one installed on Spark and the other 2 in the foam slots in the case. All batteries are fully charged and have never had any issues...
