DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 | DJI GO 4 MOD LITE [ Additional Features | Android | App Ver. 4.1.15 ]

There is a mod to shot video in 25p?

If this is the same red DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 (3027412)
225,76 MB
[packet name: dji.go.v5]
I have used for some months, fine with Phantom 4 Pro on different Samsung tablets, I can report Inspire 2 is not recognised at all.
I have to use another moded app to fly with Inspire 2, as those by NLD.

There are differences in behavior between one Samsung and another.
Don't write only Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, it says nothing, because is true and also not true!
Apart from the differentiation between 8 "and 9.7", there are at least 4 variants, and this is the cause of different behaviors and different repeatable problems.
Versions with and without 4G/LTE, and with different electronics, Chipset, CPU, GPU, have their importance and great influence on the behaviour.
Even the Android OS version could change the games.

These are the different versions I well know of S2, and each name begins with the suffix SM- (for example: SM-T815)
8 inch:
T710 [Wi-Fi], T715 [4G/LTE] and T713 [Wi-Fi], T719 [4G/LTE]
9.7 inch:
T810 [Wi-Fi], T815 [4G/LTE] and T813 [Wi-Fi], T819 [4G/LTE]

The most problematic, instable or unusable (and that is likely to drive you crazy) with DJI GO 4 apps, moded or not, and DJI remote controller are these: T713, T719, T813, T819.
Even when you are thinking to have finally discovered a tricky way on how make DJI GO 4 work and show your drone connected, you can aspect the next time or in the near future to be stopped again and it refuse to be connected, even after repeated restarts of all, tablet, RC and aircraft.
Seems to be a random instabilty, but this happens very frequently with the same discomforting results, ambiguous results, initially good, later not anymore, as if something happened in the cache memory or in the system preferences that create conflicts.

If you want to be ready to fly, without having these unacceptable obstacles stopping suddenly your DJI drone to ground, these Samsung tablet are probably the worst solution, despite their strong point of a good visibilty under strong light and sun.
Last but not least.
Those bad versions named here up, are also incompatible with the 4K movies of Phantom 4 Pro/Adv, the movies run jerkily.
Tested first of all with XPlayer, but also with other apps.

The best I have found for affidabilty, after months of use is the Galaxy Tab A 2016, it have also a bigger battery and you can use it many hours without charge it.
But unfortunately it's not good under sunlight, is a lot reflective also because of the air gap present between the LCD and the external glass, not laminated, it absolutely needs a hood or a covered place, in the shade.
For this aspect the Galaxy Tab S2 is far superior, with the 9.7" a step better then the smaller 8" version, it have a little more luminosity and more contrast, usefull under harsh lights.
So, if you want a good Galaxy Tab S2 for your DJI GO 4 app, these are the compatible versions:

Size 8": T710, T715
Size 9.7": T810, T815

AVOID ALL THE OTHERS!

All this said about these Samsung tablets is not related to the red DJI GO 4 MOD 2 app, it is probably valid for any GO 4 app, moded or not.

newbie mavic pro user, i heard that mod 2.0 can be used to boost fcc on a mavic pro, i tried it and it seems work. but if i would like to fly with the newer stock dji go 4 app, which has the panoramic photo modes, will i still maintain fcc if i use the latest app instead?

many thanks in advance

Two questions on using mod 2.0 with mavic pro
i don't seems to see the pano modes and if i switch back to use official dji go 4 app, will i still maintain fcc?
many thanks.

You can't find them because you can only Download offline maps with DJI Mod lite and not with Mod 2. As far as i know.

this is the two screenshot of my mavic pro using different go 4 app, second one is mod 2.0, is it in fcc already?
first pic is when i use the original latest dji go 4 app, it seems going back to ce again!

my question is whether each time i use mod 2.0 to fly my mavic pro, it will switch back to fcc?

mod2+fcc[1].jpg

So is this MOD still compatible with latest update?
Noob question: can I use RTH with this mod or it should be avoided?

FYI, the mod lite version runs fine on my Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) SM-T580- not rooted. I could access all the parameters and flew both in Atti and P mode with my Spark, using a remote control connected via OTG. The application is stable.

I see all Mavic pro's fly modes are now available, but didn't try them yet (will do asap).

I'm not responsible for any damage caused to your Android device or DJI equipment. You are accepting the risk of running modified software. Any software downloaded and installed outside of the Play Store may contain viruses or malware. I have taken as many precautions before offering this modded software, but there's always a chance of failure when not directly downloading from the Play Store.

This MOD may contain tweaks that are illegal in your country. Due to EIRP laws that change depending on where you live, you might be running the risk of altering your devices WLAN transmission power to the FCC limits. Please check in with the EIRP WLAN laws related to the country you will be flying in.

There are two versions of this mod, each with specific feature sets:

DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0

  • CAN be installed next to the official DJI GO 4 from the Play Store OR DJI GO 4 MOD LITE
  • Scramble Android ID, Android Serial # and IMEI (Just in case DJI catches on)
  • Google Maps (Save offline maps in the official Google Maps app for Offline Maps support [BETA])
  • Force screen on while app is open
  • Auto set brightness to 100% when app is opened
  • Auto enable Wi-Fi when app is opened
  • Auto enable screen rotation
  • Red DJI GO 4 Icon for easier recognition of the modded app
  • Red Status and Nav Bars
  • Disabled App Transitions for faster app performance
  • Auto enable Do Not Disturb mode

DJI GO 4 MOD LITE

  • Can be installed next to DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 but NOT the official DJI GO 4 app from the Play Store due to having the same package name
  • Offline Maps
  • Here Maps
Both Apps Feature:

  • Forced the TX power to FCC limits
  • Enabled Intelligent Flight Modes from the Mavic Pro for the Spark
  • No forced updates - firmware or app
  • Enabled the option whether to cache video locally or not. May reduced crashes and CPU-load if switched off
  • Fake login - You can either login with your real account (online) or use the fake accout. To use the fake account you have to go offline (airplane mode) and put any non-numeric characters in the login box
  • Make DB Public for non-rooted devices @ /mnt/sdcard/DJI/dji_mod_{version_string}.db for offline flight planning
  • Enabled Spark Wi-Fi Channel Select on OTG
  • Remove check for rooted devices
  • OTG Support
  • Sphere Pano Support
  • DJI GO 4 Ver. 4.1.15
Why two versions? Due to the additional features that are added during app cloning and changing the package name, the Here Maps API Key becomes invalid. This is why you cannot install the DJI GO 4 MOD 2.0 LITE side by side with the official DJI GO 4 app, because it keeps the same internal name, but allows access to Offline Maps.

This mod is based off of the work by Bin4ry and the deejayeye project. If you would like more info as well as any of the information related to patching the original DJI GO 4 app, you can find more info here:

He has a donation link for paypal and cryptocoins. If you guys are liking the modified app and all of the work that went into it maybe throw him a bone. This doesn't look like easy work and a lot of care has gone into this mod. If you want to donate to Bin4ry / deejayeye you can do so here:

If you have tested this mod on your device, please reply if it's working, as well as what device you are using, and I will add your device to the list.

Mods; If this thread is against the forum rules by posting links to modded software, please let me know so I can remove the links. There seems to be a legal grey area around posting modified software, but I see it no different as to remixing a popular song and releasing it for free. As long as everyone here understands that they're downloading a modified version of the official DJI GO 4 app, I believe it's perfectly acceptable. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Does this sticky always have the most up to date version?
And will it work on a non rooted phone?
Thanks and sorry if this has been asked before. I have just read through a ton of posts and am now confused lol.
